FSSA: Helping Those Who Care for You
The Indiana Family & Social Services Administration Providing Grant Money to front line workers
Best Home Care Services applied for and received grant money from FSSA for 2023 to help ease the burden of front-line workers so they can stay focused on the excellent care of our clients.
Of the grant money received from the state, 95% is to go to our staff in the field. This serves many purposes for front line workers:
It allows the addition of a hiring bonus to help overcome the growing staff shortage within the home care industry, thus providing more opportunities for client services.
It helps front line workers meet their financial needs to meet child care costs, fuel costs, continuing education costs, and a host of other needs facing field staff on a daily basis.
It allows Best Home Care Services to provide other bonuses and incentives for high performing staff members in recognition of their outstanding compassionate care of our clients and their families.
The remaining 5% of the funding will be utilized to help field staff in the onboarding process when hired, help cover the costs of state mandated random drug screenings, annual TB screening, as well as continuing education to maintain the highest possible standards of care for our clients.
We are extremely grateful for this opportunity to work with the State of Indiana and the Family & Social Services Administration with this grant opportunity available to us for 2023.
